Obviously I'm not going to leap into anything too rashly, but I think I'm going to start knitting again. You might remember my attempts from about a year ago when I first found out that I was pregnant - I made a sweet little green jumper which Beatrice did indeed wear, but grew out of remarkably quickly. Sadly, that was all I made, as we moved house just as I was getting going on a little cardigan and I never took it up again. My fondly imagined complete wardrobe of hand-knitted treasures never materialized, or extended beyond that one little jumper.
However, I was looking for possible cardigan-related presents for my husband and came across this gorgeous cardigan knitted by brooklyntweed and featured on his page on Ravelry, an online community which I had forgotten that I was a member of and although this cardigan is far beyond my abilities, it reminded me of knitting and the fact that autumn is just far enough away that I could just conceivably, just possibly, rustle up a couple of things for my little family over the next couple of months...
I would like to make this and these. I might even rip back the cardigan that I was making before and start again in a bigger size. I should also mention that I am in awe of brooklyntweed's knitting projects in general.
Tell me about you and knitting.

What's your name on Ravelry? I'm Sarisilk. I just love knitting but it has only been recently that I have actually made anything that can be used . I find it meditative and I love Booklyn's designs and craft as well.

I don't even remember what my Ravelry name is. Brooklyn Tweed's designs are so distinctive. I saw the top part of the photo and thought, That looks like a Brooklyn Tweed cardigan! Good luck on the knitting. I'm sure you will do well.

I think the cardigan above is wonderful but
challenging.
I knitted a hat for Bobby now aged 31. It was green and coral and uber cool.
I knitted a cardi for Claudia which was that kind of wool that goes darker and lighter and random.v. thrilling.
More knitting required.
Grandchild due in Jan.
Love to all 3 of you.
Beatrice's high chair is wonderfully elegant.
most are repulsive.

You will be able to use the tiny jumper for the next one, I am sure. I haven't knitted anything in ages (am never sure if the past tense of knit is 'knitted' or just 'knit'...) but I tend to go off knitting and crochet most summers. I think I will start again, though, I have a number of friends who will soon be in need of baby hats. In fact, perhaps today, as I am off work sick, and it's more productive than yet another episode of Grey's Anatomy on DVD...
